My Take
Military is a world we can all relate to in some way. BrothersandSisterslikethese is a place to relate to veterans supporters of veterans. War leaves wounds on all of the living and veterans suffer direct and indirect effects for all of their lives. For the mild to the profoundly affected, sharing with fellow veterans and friends is a healing process with open doors. BrothersandSisterslikethese.com and .org highlight writing of prose and poetry about military experiences, Blue Ridge Honor Flight takes veterans to view and share memorials and people in Washington, District of Columbia and environs to the military transported by air from all over the country, Moves That Heals provides yoga and therapeutic stretching to veterans, Healing Farms provides activities to grow food and share with others. These are just a few of the efforts that are being made for veterans to share and work through their military experiences with like-minded people. I encourage you to share your time and your finances for efforts like these and others that help veterans now and in the future! I am Ron Kuebler, Sergeant in Infantry and Intelligence at Landing Zone Gator near Chu Lai in northern part of what was South Vietnam. Glad to share experiences with fellow veterans and grow healthy old. Sample of my poetic efforts: “We celebrate you, Today as spring unfolds us, To bring growing within.
